Children's Ministries

The children’s program at Warrensville Baptist Church focuses on three goals. Our main goal is to provide opportunities for our children to grow spiritually closer to God. Our Bible School is one of the main focuses each summer to create excitement for our church kids and to reach out to share Jesus with other children in the community. We also plan a special Easter program to share the meaning of Easter through fun activities each year.
Another goal we have at Warrensville is to provide a warm and supportive environment where our kids can count on the love and support of our extended church family. We provide a strong Sunday School for all ages from Nursery through Adults, and a Wednesday night program of Kingdom Kids, RA’s, and GA’s to share the love of Jesus with our youngsters. These programs help our kids grow in their knowledge of the Bible and help them grow closer to each other and to God. Music is a huge part of this program with opportunities for the children to worship through songs, interpretative movement, skits, and plays. It is important to us at Warrensville to provide Christian fellowship for our children. We want them to know that being a Christian does not mean that you cannot have fun so “fun” activities are planned often. In the past we have gone skiing, to Carowinds, to the Polar Express, to the Corn Maze, to the movies, to the Monster Truck Rally, to the Dinosaur Show, fishing, to the park, to Lazy Five Ranch—just to name a few of the places. We want the kids to have fun while they are interacting with other Christian children. The kids are encouraged to involve non-church friends on these outings as part of our outreach.
Also important to us is the giving back to our church and community. Our kids are involved in activities that help them realize that they can make a difference in our world and in other peoples’ lives. The folks that work with our children are a dedicated, caring group who volunteer their time to make sure that we have a strong program with strong Christian role models who develop invaluable relationships with our kids from the nursery on through childhood, through college, and even through adulthood.
The support for our children at Warrensville is phenomenal. Financially and spiritually, this church understands that we must reach out to our children—to love them, support them, and help them to grow in the love and knowledge of Jesus. “They,” as one leader recently said,” are not the church of tomorrow; they are the church of today.”
